This reading series is for preschoolers and adopts the whole language approach. It has the following features:

1.        Each story has only about 10 new characters to make it easy for children to read and understand.

2.        Each main character has three stories to get young children’s attention, build up their sensitivity towards characters and eventually arouse their interest in reading.

3.        Each story has detailed illustrations, unexpected plot development and repetitive sentence patterns. This will enhance their observation, imagination and predictive ability, and therefore enable them to read at an early stage.

This reading series has three sets and each set has twelve booklets. Children will be able to recognize about 300 characters and 416 phrases after reading the whole series. Each set comes with 12 booklets, 1 CD (in both Cantonese Track #1-13 and Mandarin Track#14-26), and one workbook. The exercises in the workbook put the characters in different contexts to help the children apply their learning and further improve their reading skills.

Adults only need to spend 15 minutes to read and play flash cards with their children each day. This will help them grasp the forms, pronunciation and meanings of the individual characters. It will also develop their reading ability, interest and habit effortlessly. Listening to the target language frequently will be greatly beneficial to acquiring a native standard in oral language.
