Thematic Vocabulary Building Game - At Home (SU05, SU06)

This game introduces vocabulary about parts of a house, household appliances, and home furniture. Set 1 (SU05) contains 30 simpler vocabulary like bathroom, rice cooker, toaster, armchair, and coffee table. Set 2 (SU06) introduces more difficult words in the three categories like balcony, corridor, vacuum cleaner, bunk bed, and wardrobe.

Instructions for various games are provided. For example:

Make a Guess:

Lay the picture cards up on the table. Take turns to describe one of them and guess which one it is. E.g. "It's rectangular in shape. I put my clothes and handbags in it." The answer is "wardrobe". The player keeps the card if s/he is correct.

Memory Game:

Lay the picture cards in rows on one side (facing down). Do the same for the word cards. Turn over a picture card and a word card. Say aloud the word and see if it matches the picture cards.
